At Golden Locks Hair, our clip-in extensions come in three versatile lengths designed to suit different hair goals and body types:
16" / 40cm
Falls around shoulder blade or bra strap height. Ideal for subtle length and volume.
SHOP 16"
20" / 50cm
Reaches mid-back. A great balance between natural and noticeably longer hair.
SHOP 20"
24" / 60cm
Extends to the lower back or even hip length if you’re on the shorter side.
SHOP 24"When choosing your length, consider your height. A 50cm (20") set will look much longer on someone who is 1.55m tall than on someone who is 1.85m

Each product we offer is as unique as the artist who made it. Our entire collection is crafted using locally sourced, non-toxic materials including repurposed wood and recycled glass. That way we create with the environment in mind.
If you have very thick hair and are looking to add length with extensions, we recommend choosing a
set that is at least 15 cm longer than your natural hair. This helps create a more balanced look and
ensures the extensions blend in seamlessly with your existing volume.
If you’re unsure whether a single set will provide enough coverage, consider combining our Luxurious
Full Set with an Elegant Half Set for maximum fullness and a flawless finish. You’re welcome to rent
the sets and experiment with different combinations—or visit our studio for a professional hair fitting.
This way, you can explore your options and feel completely confident in your investment.
Use a piece of ribbon or a soft measuring tape and place it at the back of your head—around 3 fingers above your neckline, where the first row of extensions would typically be clipped in. Let the tape fall straight down your back to see where each length would end. This gives you the most realistic idea of how the extensions will look.
find out moreWhen you're keeping the length the same and just adding volume or highlights, you have more flexibility with colour.
This is a great way to add richness and visual interest without committing to chemical colour.
Always check your hair colour in natural daylight outdoors (in the shade, not direct sunlight) to avoid artificial tones from indoor lighting. If you’re choosing online, take a photo in natural light (no flash) to compare with our colour chart.
Still unsure? Snap a picture of your hair from the back in outdoor daylight, in the shadow and send it to us—we’ll help colour-match you to the closest shade in our collection.
Our hair extensions take toners, darker colours, and silver shampoos quite well. You can easily adjust
the tone (e.g., ashier, warmer, richer) or add lowlights to blend them better with your natural hair.
It’s usually easier to go darker or adjust the tone than it is to lighten extensions.
Avoid bleaching extensions to make them lighter.
While technically possible, bleaching can dry out the hair and produce unpredictable results. Because
extensions don’t regenerate natural oils like your scalp hair does, bleaching can shorten their lifespan
and compromise quality.
